Text: 1 Corinthians 15
Preacher: Brent McCrory
Over 2,000 years ago there was an agreed upon expectation early one Sunday morning…Jesus’ corpse needs to be anointed with oils. This expectation soon proved to be, well, unnecessary. In the year 2018 there seems to be an expectation that Jesus’ resurrection from the dead primarily means those who are “in Christ” will one day be in heaven; either when Jesus comes back or when they physically die. Certainly this is an aspect of the hope [expectation] of Christianity. Yet this is not the only outcome of the Resurrection of Jesus from the dead…and we are foolish to not engage with the broader implications of it.
