History has numerous examples of God answering the prayers of His people with "Yes".  Yet the reality is the history of God's people also has many (what we often call) unanswered prayers - or better stated, God answered "No". 

A "Yes" answer is wonderful, but "No" answers can leave a Christian in a quandary.  In fact, a "No" coupled with some rather audacious claims in the Bible about prayer (e.g., Matt21:20-22; Jn14:12-14) can (and at times does) leave many with a shaken faith.  Is this what God desires - a shaken faith when He answers "No"?  I don't think so...

God desires something far more earth-shattering than a shaken faith.
