New Life Christian Church of Emporia

It is known by a variety of names: The Lord's Supper...Communion...Holy Communion...The Eucharist...The Breaking of Bread…etc.  Different parts of the body of Christ on earth all mean the same (basically) thing by those various titles.  The reference point is a gift from God.  So…why the confusion?  Why the different names?  What happens during this time?  Who is it for?  What should be our focus during it?  Hopefully a clearer picture will develop and some answers will follow during this series.  Yet one thing is clear, if we do not start with grace…we are already starting on the wrong foot.  By the way, we do some of the oddest things when it comes to meals do we not?
