Sermon Series: The Story: Missing THE King?
Text: Luke 22:53; John 1:5; 8:12; 13; Matthew 27:46; Psalm 22
Preacher: Brent McCrory

Sometimes truth can be difficult to swallow. Perhaps this is because it is hard to comprehend, or we would rather deny it. For some, it is hard to come to grips with the reality that darkness has a sort of dominion (or hold) on this earth. Yet the truth is, darkness does.

However, there are other times when truth is not difficult to swallow. Rather, when joyfully accepted, truth can be both comforting and liberating. Take for example what is really happening in Matthew 27:46 when one reads all of Psalm 22.

Sadly, sometimes truth is ignored because it does not match up with our feelings or expectations, or simply because it does not match up with what we have been taught. Yet truth is still truth. So will we remain in darkness, or step out into the light of the truth?
