Sermon Series: Praying with Purpose…
Text: Ephesians 2:4-10; Colossians 1:3-14; Titus 2:11-15
Preacher: Brent McCrory
There are many (MANY) problems in the world. In fact, there are so many problems that at times it seems the only way we can cope with the sheer weight of the problems all around us is to isolate ourselves from them. “After all,” we think to ourselves, “what can I possibly do about all these problems?”
There is sound thinking in the above dilemma. After all, in reality, what can one person do? Reality is underlined because reality is vital when it comes to dealing with the problems in the world. In other words we must define reality accurately…and in God’s reality The Church is the answer to the problems in the world.
I realize some may call that statement foolishness. We will simply call it faith.
Part way through the sermon we were blessed to hear from Joe & Ashlee Anno. They have become involved in the foster care system and are experiencing first hand a way to be a part of God’s answer to problems around us.
